Pooja Sankar
Founder & CEO, Piazza

Pooja Sankar founded Piazza based on her experience as one of a few women among many men studying computer science. Piazza now serves more than 700,000 students, including virtually all computer science students at top US schools. Pooja has an MS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the Standford Business School. 

Jessica Gilmartin
Chief Business Officer, Piazza

Jessica Gilmartin brings extensive product marketing experience to Piazza, having worked with multiple startups as well as Google prior to working with Piazza. She will share research on the dramatic positive engagement differences Piazza creates, especially for women students. Jessica holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

David Gries
Professor, Computer Science, Cornell Univ.

David Gries has taught computer science at Cornell since 1969. For the past 3-4 years he has taught hundreds of students each semester, David believes Piazza is THE tool for engaging students in an efficient, effective, and inclusive manner. He is a Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow (1995) for undergraduate education. He has four professional society awards for undergraduate computer science education. David holds a Ph.D.in mathematics from the Munich Institute of Technology.
